Our long wait of nearly three years to find a good builder finally paid off

We were requested by Weeks Homes to provide review during the initial stages of the build. At that time, we politely refused because our house was not fully completed. However, after the handover on 28 April 2026, we decided to share our experience building with Weeks Homes, which might help others choose their builder.

After shopping around for almost three years looking for a reputable builder, we signed the contract with Weeks Homes Adelaide, under the new management leadership of Peter McIndoe. Josh was assigned as our Building Manager.

Living interstate, we were always worried as we did not have family or friends to oversee the project. All those worries vanished once Josh started working on our home. As promised, he would call us every Monday to brief us on the progress of the work being carried out.

Josh was very approachable, never rushed us during conversations, and always answered our questions patiently. He paid extra attention to detail, ensuring the finish of the home was incredible. Josh even responded to our emails while he was sick at home and outside office hours. There was so much respect in the relationship he built with us. He is a man of integrity who genuinely wants to help his customers and always stays true to his word.

We always made sure not to call him unless it was necessary, but we consistently emphasised the importance of quality in the build. Josh assured us that he would deliver a quality home, and he certainly did.

We now have people visiting our home, and the first thing they say is, “The build is amazing, who is the builder?” When we mention Weeks Homes, people immediately recognise the brand because weeks homes is widely discussed throughout Adelaide. Many people say that under the new collaboration and leadership, Weeks will soon become the number one builder in South Australia. Not just a volume builder, but a quality builder that genuinely focuses on delivering quality homes with great workmanship. 

Even after the handover, Josh continues to help us outside the build itself by connecting us with people for additional external works. That level of care and commitment is rare to find.

What stands out most with Weeks Homes is their honesty. If an issue was identified, Josh would never brush it under the carpet. Instead, he would listen carefully to the concerns we raised and work on them until we were satisfied.

The difference between other builders and Weeks is that if you do not connect well with one person during the initial stages of the build, you are given the opportunity to speak with others within the company who genuinely want to help.

Initially, we were dealing with a sales consultant from whom we did not receive much information. However, we were then assigned Neil, the Sales Manager, to take over, and he did an amazing job with the quote and overall process. His listening skills are second to none.

Along the way, we also had the opportunity to speak with Brendan, who needs no introduction. His listening skills, understanding concerns and ability to resolve issues are exceptional.

Although we are currently within the three month warranty period, we recently noticed a minor leakage issue at the property. We informed Josh, and he acted on the matter immediately. He promptly arranged for his plumber to attend the property, and the necessary work, including a camera inspection was carried out without delay. Josh emailed us at night to let us know the issue has been identified and rectified.

Unlike other builders who stop caring once the final payment has been made, Weeks Homes genuinely continues to care for their clients even after handover.

Our long wait of nearly three years to find a good builder finally paid off. We sincerely thank Josh and his wonderful team for delivering us a high quality home.
